I am a licensed clinical social worker, and I have worked as a therapist at Options since 2016. I enjoy working with adults across a range of topics; including life and relationship goals, difficulties with anxiety or depression, and managing symptoms of bipolar or schizoaffective disorder. My approach to therapy emphasizes a client-centered philosophy, which honors the premise that you are probably the best expert on your own life. My practice also incorporates mindfulness and grounding skills from acceptance and commitment therapy; as well as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing exercises, which focus on healing from traumatic events.

I have a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am dedicated to providing services with a commitment to the holistic health of the client. I also believe that everyone can reach an optimum state of health. In comparison, many techniques used in my counseling practice stem from a Cognitive Behavioral philosophy, family systems, and attachment-based theory. I truly believe that experiences can shape our lives much more profoundly than purely intellectual endeavors. Our lives consist of physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual components. I believe in all these aspects of human experience to help you achieve your goals. My experience has been focused on trauma, complex trauma, and mental health issues with children, and adolescence.

I have a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Bushnell University. I believe that people are influenced by their biological dispositions, life experiences, relationships to others, and personal core values. My approach to counseling is trauma-informed and person-centered. I utilize aspects of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), artistic interventions, career counseling, narrative therapy and grief counseling. I have experience primarily working with adult individuals that face a variety of issues, including relational problems, grief, psychosis, depression, and anxiety. This experience includes working with a broad range of clients; people of all ages, varying socio-economic statuses, as well as culturally diverse populations.

I believe that everyone can experience a fulfilling quality of life when they are empowered with holistic emotional, spiritual, and educational support. I also have a background in social work and believe part of my role as a counselor is to be an advocate. I recognize the impact that systems of oppression have on mental health and overall well-being and am committed to utilizing an anti-oppressive lens in my work. I am especially passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community.
