I believe each individual has a natural tendency to strive for growth and wellness. My theoretical orientation and training include Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed practices. I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Montana State University. My experience comes from a broad background of education, work, and volunteer experience. I have experience working with individuals of varying ages, from two-years-old to ninety-two-years old!

Elisabeth Goldenberg, MSW, LCSW 

I am a Bilingual/Bicultural (Spanish) therapist with a Master’s in Social Work from Portland State University, I work with issues including Culture, Diversity, Anti-Oppression, Trauma, Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia, Bereavement, Anxiety, Depression, Dissociative Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, Domestic and Sexual Violence, and Co-occurring Medical Issues. My training also allows me to use EMDR, Ego State Therapy, Empowerment, Psycho-education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family of Origin work, and Mindfulness.

Julie Speir, LCSW 

I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University, and certifications in TFCBT, EMDR, Hypnotherapy, and Gottman couples therapy. I believe that every person has many strengths and the ability to find solutions and resources needed to heal and thrive. With a special focus on treating traumatized populations I partner with my clients to bring the approach that is the best fit. I offer a variety of models including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, DBT, Hypnotherapy, Gradual Exposure, ACT, Art therapy and more.

Lyndsay Pixler, MA, CADCII, R-DMT, RYT, LPC Intern 

I hold a Master’s in Somatic Counseling Psychology and Dance/Movement Therapy from Naropa University and am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II). As a Somatic Therapist, my therapeutic orientation aims to integrate body-based interventions with traditional Person-Centered therapy.  I have completed additional training on trauma and addiction. To help clients identify and achieve goals, I include evidenced-based practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing.

Maria Schweer, MA 

I have a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. My experience has been focused on trauma, complex trauma, and mental health issues with children and adults, attachment foster-care and adoption, and early childhood development. Drawing from aspects of interpersonal neurobiology I endeavor to maintain a safe, trusting, and accurately attuned relationship with each client. I draw from a cognitive, relational, psychodynamic, family systems, and attachment-based theory, tailored collaboratively to individual or family therapy needs.

I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My approach to therapy is culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and person-centered. I draw primarily from Gestalt, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic approaches. I recognize the impact that systems of oppression have on mental health and overall well being. I am passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community. I have experience with pregnancy support/adoption, homeless and residential programs with youth, domestic violence survivors, and multicultural counseling.

I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. I work collaboratively with my clients, combining my education, skills, and experience in the field with the expertise each client brings about their thoughts, feelings, and how they respond to life stressors. With an emphasis on trauma-informed and holistic practice, I use frameworks including narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, EMDR/bioenergetic theory, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Portland State University. I utilize trauma-informed approaches including: solution-focused therapy, expressive arts therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-behavior therapies. I work with adults with psychotic disorders, bipolar disorders, depression, anxiety, sexual trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, interpersonal relationships, domestic violence, gender and sexual identity formation, or adjusting to significant changes in one’s life.

I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest Christian University. I utilize aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Systems, and therapeutic play in my work supporting clients in reaching their full potential through developing their skills and correcting maladaptive behaviors. When working with young children, family therapy is essential in creating systematic change fundamental for the therapeutic growth of both the individual and family.
