I am a licensed clinical social worker, and I have worked as a therapist at Options since 2016. I enjoy working with adults across a range of topics; including life and relationship goals, difficulties with anxiety or depression, and managing symptoms of bipolar or schizoaffective disorder. My approach to therapy emphasizes a client-centered philosophy, which honors the premise that you are probably the best expert on your own life. My practice also incorporates mindfulness and grounding skills from acceptance and commitment therapy; as well as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing exercises, which focus on healing from traumatic events.

In comparison, many techniques used in my counseling practice stem from a Cognitive Behavioral philosophy, family systems, and attachment-based theory. I truly believe that experiences can shape our lives much more profoundly than purely intellectual endeavors. Our lives consist of physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual components. I believe in all these aspects of human experience to help you achieve your goals. My experience has been focused on trauma, complex trauma, and mental health issues with children, and adolescence.
